• Afterschool Program
    Our after school program runs from 2:30pm to 4:30pm, Monday – Friday. Children between the ages of 5 and 12 come and enjoy an afternoon snack and participate in various educational and recreational activities, provided by staff and volunteers.
  • Youth Program
    Offered at the Centre Monday – Thursday, from 6:00-8:30pm. The program is open to Youth between 12-17. Through this program youth learn important life skills and participate in several social, recreation and educational activities.
  • Junior Youth Mentorship
    This is a 10 month program that concentrates on character development, finding your leadership style thru team exercises, self-reflection, group dynamic work, and mentoring the After School program participants.
  • Youth Achieve
    Youth Achieve is a Literacy program that provides basic literacy skills development to youth ages 11 – 17 years that are still attached to the school system but have very low literacy skills. Built on the success of the Vibrant Communities St. John’s pilot project of providing literacy support to our community’s youth. CCA continues to implement this project as an attempt to prevent youth who are struggling in school from dropping out.
  • Adults Program
    Events include: Grocery Bingo’s, Card games, Thursday Night Socials, Health Nuts (wellness program), Community Kitchens, Lunch and Learns, Sewing Club, 50+ Breakfast Club and much more!
  • Toddlers (0-5 years)
    Rabbittown Community Centre provides parents with tots and expectant mothers with various learning opportunities in a relaxed environment, there are 3 programs that we currently offer: Parent & Tot Program, Pre-School Readiness and our well-known Healthy Baby Club.   • Wellness Program
    The Wellness program is for community members who are looking for a chance to meet new people while getting active and learning important health related information.
  • Homework Haven
    Tutoring program for youth aimed towards helping them in subject areas where they experience difficulty.
  • Community Kitchens
    Community Kitchens is a 8 week program where a group of community residents get together once a week and cook meals for their families. At the end of each day all meals are divided up and brought home to each members families. This program helps people learn how to cook new meals, budgeting, as well as great for socializing and meeting new people.
  • Rabbittown Community Garden  
    We have a fairly large green space on the back of the Centre we utilize as a Community Garden. The Community comes together and grow a number of different types of plants and vegetables and at the end of the season we host a community harvest celebration and share out the bounty with the families that participate.
  • Special Events
    The Community Centre offers several special events throughout the year. Some of these include: Spring and Winter Carnivals, Children’s Halloween and Christmas parties, Christmas Turkey Dinner and Cookie Bake , Canada Day Celebrations, Community Clean Up’s, and Much More!
