Programs for Children/Youth

  • Afterschool Program  happens everyday Monday through Friday from 3:00 – 5:30pm.  The RBC funding helps support this program which we are able to offer.  It consists of many smaller programs and activities such as baking, cooking, arts and crafts, guest speakers, presentations, recreational activities, low organized games, homework help, tutoring, computer experience, etc.
  • Snack Program  is offered everyday  throughout the school year Monday to Friday 3pm – 4pm.  We have been able to offer this program with the help of our RBC funding for our Aferschool Program plus the Kids Eat Smart.  This program allows us to be able to offer a nourishing and healthy snack to every child/youth who walks through our doors.  This goes a long way in contributing to healthy children and families.  It also allows our children/youth to learn about the food, different recipes, why certain foods are good and certain ones are not.
  • Baking and Cooking Program takes place at least once a week during our Afterschool Program with a different group of children participating each time.  The group bakes or cooks a snack which is then served to all children attending the Afterschool Program that day.  This program is able to provide many necessary life skills which the children can use in their daily lives.
