All money raised from this event goes directly back into our partnering NLH communities. Our Youth Achieve program provides literacy tutoring to youth ages 10-17 that are still in school and have extreme literacy challenges. We know that the way out of poverty is education, so our goal for this program is to increase the literacy of young people so they can graduate high school and go on to post-secondary.

CCA and KidSport NL to Launch Partnership on November 12th, 2015

The Community Centre Alliance and KidSport NL are working together to bring introduction to sport programs to all 8 community centres. Each program will engage children giving them an opportunity to discover a love of sport and living an active, healthy lifestyle. KidSport, through Sport Newfoundland and Labrador, exists to remove financial barriers for children who want to participate. We believe, that through our partnership with the Community Centre Alliance, KidSport will open the door to sport for many children who otherwise wouldn’t have these opportunities.
