This program is for children between the ages of 2 to 5 years old. It operates five days a week. During the play and learn program, children learn their basic colors, numbers, and alphabet. Our focus is to help enhance their learning and prepare them for kindergarten.
School Aged Children
Boys Group is a program offered to boys’ ages 6-12 living within the community. This truly is a boys group as it is facilitated by men volunteers from our community for boys within our community! It is offered once a month and focuses on fun and recreational activities for the boys to do together.
Every summer we have a summer program created for those who live in and near our community. Any child age 6 and above is welcome. This program runs from the first week of July until the last week of August. Activities include swimming at Bowring Park, field days, Theme Days. BBQ’s, and trips to various places in and around St. John’s.
The Homework Club is a program where youth from Grade 7 to Grade 12 can receive help with subjects such as Math, English, Science, Spelling, and Special Projects for school. All students can receive one on one help from the homework coordinator or volunteers.
Youth Achieve is a program funded primarily through the CCA Km Walk and Run for Youth Achieve sponsored by the Fry Family Foundation and VOCM Cares which offers 1:1 literacy coaching to youth in Grades 6, 7, 8 and 9 for 1 hour twice a week.
Circle of Expression
Buckmaster’s CIRCLE of EXPRESSION is a program focused on inspiring youth to express their talents, skills, and ideas through “Urban Art” methods. For youth ages 12-15 and is offered Thursday’s3:30-5:00.
